Massouri (our doorstep)
Pebble and fine sand, shallow at the edge, deep enough for real swimming twenty strokes out. Safe for children. Umbrellas and loungers at the tavernas that line the back. Telendos straight ahead. The sun sets behind the island at quarter past seven in late September — we tell people to plan dinner around it. The only honest complaint: August days when the pebbles get hot enough to hop across.
